Negombo is a major city situated on the western coast of Sri Lanka. It is the fifth largest city in the country and is placed at the mouth of a beautiful lagoon. This city is well-known for its fishing industry. Both in the ocean and the lagoon, fishing has not only become a vital part of the way of life here, it has also become its central attraction. Located just a few km away from the Bandaranaike International Airport, Negombo has become a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Tourists often use the city as their central hub for touring the rest of the country. It is truly a unique place in Sri Lanka as it enjoys the coastal breeze of the ocean while it is also engulfed in the rich biodiversity that comes with the Negombo lagoon. Its pristine beaches are probably its most renowned feature and with it, the call of ocean-based activities.

Tour In Brief
You will be picked up and brought back from any city hotel in Negombo. If you are away from the Negombo municipality limits, we will pick you up from a pre-agreed place in Negombo. Alternatively you could come to the fishing harbour as well.

Negombo is considered one of the best locations to go professional game fishing and deep sea fishing on Sri Lanka's western coast. The convenient distance from the international airport (15 km) makes it easy to add one of our fishing trips to the beginning or end of your holiday in Sri Lanka. The best season for fishing in Negombo is from April to November but fishing could be carried out throughout the year in convenience to the guest.
Sri Lanka is much admired for its multitude of sub-aquatic life. Its unspoiled sea and fishing zones hold an abundance of game fish for the keen angler. Close to the coast you can find Grouper, Snapper Emperor, Bonefish while a bit further out Indian Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Seer fish, Kingfish, Barracuda, Barramundi, Jackfish, Trevally, Tuna and far out Sailfish, Swordfish, Marlin and Shark.
