Enjoy a Cycle Tour to the village and back. A well experienced guide will accompany you. Experience the traditional methods of Pottery by a village of dedicated potters. Witness a myriad of creations evolve from experienced hands; generations of dedicated artisans. Taste a cup of coffee or herbal drink offered by the villagers. Try your hand at pottery and make your own souvenir to take home. This is an excellent community-based tour led by an experienced guide. Tour In Brief

You will be met by the Sri Lanka Day Tours representative at the pre-agreed meeting point in Habarana. Following a brief on the tour and safety precautions, you will be given bicycles to cycle to the village of potters with your designated guide.

You can take part in the pottery making process along with the village community who will eagerly welcome you. Witness the amazing transformation of the raw material clay into pottery.

You will have the chance to see the art of framing pottery in the traditional way and how these artisans adapt their craft to suit more modern expectations and styles.

During this engaging tour, the villagers will serve you a cup of tea or a herbal drink - a means of gaining an insightful experience of rural lifestyle and hospitality.

This responsible trail will immerse you in a traditional industry; a home-grown livelihood that deserves merit and recognition.

After the tour, you will cycle back to the starting point where a traditional local lunch will be served, which you will enjoy in a hut - made from mud!
